S-O-S SAVE OUR SHUTTLE

NASA plans to retire the SPACE SHUTTLE as early as 2010. The space agency is making the greatest blunder since the agency was formed. The SPACE SHUTTLE is far ahead of any other space system, foreign or domestic, currently being used or being built or still on the drawing board. The SPACE SHUTTLE, with some modification and upgrading, can become NASA's "workhorse" in space, such as:
  1. Continuing to supply the International Space Station with crews and supplies.
  2. Aid in the deployment of orbiting space platforms in orbit around the earth, the moon and Mars. These orbiting space platforms will serve as points in space for configuring deeper space missions, as well as supplying rocket fuel for those missions.
  3. Furnish manned transportation to hundreds of satellites in geosynchronous orbit for repair and refueling.
  4. Serve as a rescue vehicle for various space missions. One SPACE SHUTTLE could be permanently docked at the ISS or at an orbiting space platform for that purpose.
  5. Become a "work-in-progress" prototype for a larger, more advanced spacecraft capable of missions to the moon, Mars and beyond, saving billions of dollars in R&D.

We are very interested in your ideas regarding the SPACE SHUTTLE's future.
